Jessica Marra appointed to 17th Judicial Circuit

by The 100 Companies

Plantation lawyer Jessica Mara is the newest judge at the 17th Judicial Circuit in Broward County, following an appointment by Gov. Ron DeSantis.

She succeeds Patti Henning, Florida’s longest-serving judge.

A graduate of Nova Southeastern University’s Shepard Broad College of Law, Marra is a partner at the Kelley Kronenberg law firm, where she’s focused on liability and employment law.

She got her start as an assistant state prosecutor, a post she held for nearly three years.

Henning stepped down March 22 after more than 42 years on the bench. She most recently presided over complex business and tort litigation cases.
