Hurricanes banking on young talent to make a difference

The Miami Hurricanes open camp on Thursday. If head coach Mario Cristobal is to improve on last season’s 6-7 record, the Canes must get contributions from young players on the roster.

Some of those freshmen from Miami’s top 10 recruiting class will be counted on to contribute.

“Every position has legitimate competition, it’s a really good combination,” Cristobal said at the ACC Kickoff in Charlotte.

Keep an eye on two top recruits on the offensive line, five-star prospects Francis Mauigoa and Samson Okunlola. Mauigoa is projected to start at right tackle while Okunlola could compete for time at left tackle.
