Twenty-four Gen Z activists from across the state are backing a potential run for Chair of the Florida Democratic Party by former Miami Sen. Annette Taddeo.
In a letter, the group noted turnout among young people helped repel a “red wave” nationwide, except in Florida, where Democrats lost big.
They said Taddeo, a former Miami-Dade Democratic Party Chair, would be a “true partner” compared to former state Chair Manny Diaz.
“(She) will prioritize renewed outreach to Florida’s youngest while working with us to increase our representation in the state party and unleash the strength of the nation’s youngest voter demographic …”
