Winner: Ryan Huntington
Huntington won a Special Election to fill out the remainder of a term in the Biscayne Park Commission.
Huntington dominated Tuesday in the three-person race, winning just under 80% of the vote.
He will serve for seven months before needing to defend his seat.
Loser: Vero Beach property owners
The stormwater fee is about to jump by 971%, going from $7 per year to around $75.
The increase had been expected, but federal COVID-19 relief funds helped to hold off on the surge.
The money will do good work helping to improve infrastructure, but the increase is noticeable.
