Gov. DeSantis targets Hyatt Regency Miami liquor license over minor-attended drag show

Gov. Ron DeSantis is going after the liquor license of another business for participating in a drag show attended by minors.

This time he’s targeting the Hyatt Regency Miami for a Christmas-themed show at the Knight Center. The Hyatt is the center’s food and beverage concessionaire.

In a 17-page complaint, regulators said the venue admitted minors, exposing them to “sexually suggestive clothing and prosthetic female genitalia.”

It noted minors had to be “accompanied by an adult.”

DeSantis’ administration has lodged similar complaints over shows in Fort Lauderdale and Orlando. Lawmakers this year are carrying measure to crack down on them.
