Asked who his favorite Democrat is, Broward County Sheriff Gregory Tony’s name sprang to Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis‘ lips during a CNN town hall.
DeSantis highlighted how he tapped Tony for the Sheriff’s post. And then went on to declare how Tony has “a great life story.”
CNN’s Jake Tapper could be forgiven for not knowing just how exceptional Tony’s life story is.
Tony is facing an administrative hearing in February over an ethics finding that he misused his office by not mentioning on his job application that he was arrested for killing a man as a teen in Philadelphia.
