Winner: Joe Saunders. Former Rep. Saunders solidified his path to another appearance on a General Election ballot, securing endorsements from Democratic leadership in his House District 106 bid. Incumbent Republican Rep. Fabián Basabe is also facing a lawsuit and a House complaint regarding sexual harassment allegations, complicating his upcoming re-election effort in HD 106.
Loser: Florida Atlantic University. After FAU released a list of three finalists for president and left off Rep. Randy Fine, the State University System Board of Governors is now using ridiculous pretenses to halt that search in an apparent attempt to muscle Fine back into the fray.
