Winner: Chris Korge
Korge, a Coral Gables-based lawyer and longtime Democratic Party power player, is now serving as Finance Chair of the Biden Victory Fund, the joint fundraising arm of Biden’s 2024 re-election bid. The operation already raised $72 million alongside the Democratic National Committee and other fundraising committees.
Loser: Bronwyn Stanford
Stanford is on leave as the Director of Miami-Dade Animal Services. A top supporter of the agency – which oversees Miami-Dade’s pet shelter – sued, alleging Stanford told defamatory lies about her. That, plus the shelter’s overpopulation issues, prompted Miami-Dade Mayor Daniella Levine Cava to remove Stanford “until further notice.”
