A rabbi who is also a lawyer and civic activist is rallying today to remove the Bible from Olympic Heights High School as a tongue-in-cheek protest of the book-banning fervor that’s sweeping the state.
Barry Silver of Boca Raton is pointing out the Bible has much more sexual deviance than other books that have been thrown out of school libraries or become unavailable to younger children, the Sun Sentinel reports.
The rally will be at 2 p.m. at the Fulton Holland Education Services Center before a scheduled 3 p.m. School Board meeting about books that have drawn objections.
