Sherri Hodies of Key West, Treasurer of the Monroe County Republican Party, is running for Monroe County Supervisor of Elections in the 2024 election.
So far, Democrat Ron Saunders is her only competition. The incumbent Elections Supervisor Joyce Griffin has filled the role since 2012.
Hodies is the first Republican to run for the post in 35 years, according to the Keys News. The 27-year Honda of America Manufacturing employee holds two master’s degrees, a campaign news release says.
“I take pride in my attention to detail which will ensure that all of your votes are counted and secured,” Hodies said.
