South Florida’s Winner and Loser of the Week

Winner: Kevin Marino Cabrera

Former President Donald Trump is now backing Cabrera, currently a Miami-Dade Commissioner, to become the next Vice Chair for the Republican Party of Florida (RPOF). New RPOF Chair Evan Power is endorsing Cabrera as well, as are a slate of GOP leaders in the state.

Loser: Miami Seaquarium

Has the South Florida staple at last seen all that there is to see? County officials are threatening to cancel the Miami Seaquarium’s lease, citing animal care concerns. The park sits on public land and is now under fire to quickly address those issues or lose its home.
